The “Brainy Day Activity Program” was created to provide daily activities to enhance the lives of individuals with dementia. The program is self-contained, user-friendly and works equally well at home or in a long-term care community.
  
The Brainy Day Activity Program includes 8 individual hanging bags with product (table top stand included) and 64 individual and group activities that were created to meet the cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals with memory loss. Each hanging bag contains product(s) and instructions for engaging a person experiencing dementia in fun, unique activities.  Included in the activity program: Word Rummy Card Game, Table Bocce, Nutrition Cards and Stacking Sandwich, Wheelee Balls (2), Community Helpers Cards, Connecting Butterflies and Flowers, Shut the Box Game, and Pentominoes Puzzle. Word Rummy Crossword puzzles, word search, and other word games are daily brain activities enjoyed by many. Word Rummy was chosen as part of our Brainy Day Program to rekindle the word game challenge for the person who would still like to play but needs a simpler way to be successful at it.	Bocce Disk Competition that is fun and affirming was the intent of choosing this activity.  When dementia claims life’s journey, with it comes many losses. This game has many opportunities to provide the feeling of victory while encouraging laughter and pleasure.	Food and Nutrition Eating is often one of the areas of concern for many care providers. As the person with dementia eats less (or more) because of forgetfulness or lack of appetite, nutrition can become a critical matter. Our Food and Nutrition activities will assist the care provider through discussion, visualization and hands-on manipulation.

The Wheelee Ball It was our desire to find a way to offer exercise that was fun and exciting while inspiring participation. The physical exercises with the Wheelee Ball can do just that. Holding the ball helps awaken the senses so the person with dementia can join in successfully.	Community Helpers We know how often the person with dementia can lose the connection with the world around them.  These cards and activities are intended to help an individual reconnect and remember the people in their community.	Butterflies and Flowers We provide many activity ideas for the individual who loved to garden and who loved the outdoors. These butterflies and flowers will aid in reconnecting with a treasured pastime. Just seeing the bright colors bring smiles and trigger reminiscing.

Shut the Box Mathematics is a part of everyday life… professionally, at home or even having fun in a casino. With Shut the Box, rolling the die and flipping the numbers can provide a way to stimulate number recognition while offering opportunities for simple math fun.	Pentominoes There are many seniors who enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles. The Pentominoes activities are meant to bring back the joy of that pleasure. Manipulating the pieces of the puzzle is good for dexterity and can provide opportunities for organizing and problem solving at a very basic level.

Although our products meet the size requirements to avoid a choking hazard, please use your discretion. Some of the products in this activity program may not be appropriate for all individuals with memory loss.

Brainy Day Buddy Activity Program

The “Brainy Day Buddy Activity Program” was created to provide daily activities to enhance the lives of individuals with dementia. The program was developed specifically for individuals with more advanced memory loss, yet provides challenges that can be increased for early-stage dementia. The Brainy Day Buddy can be enjoyed at home, in a senior living community or in an adult day program.

The Brainy Day Buddy Program includes 3 “grab and go” bags with age-appropriate, user-friendly product and 27 activities that were created to meet the cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of individuals with memory loss. Each bag contains product and instructions for engaging a person at any stage of dementia in fun, respectful, unique activities.
